Urgent: Rushing the 2032 EV Mandate!

The plan is to have two out of every three new vehicles sold to be fully battery electric by 2032. That’s a bold move, and hybrids won’t cut it this time.

Now, don’t get me wrong, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are fantastic for some customers. If you’ve got ample access to charging, can afford a BEV, or don’t need to tow or haul long distances, for example, it might be the perfect choice for you. .

But what about everyone else? While the goal is to reduce carbon as much as possible, if your situation doesn’t align with the BEV criteria, it might not be the best fit for you. We need to ensure that the rush to 2032 takes into account the diverse needs of all consumers.
